2011 French Quarter Fridays Review: We made it to the 2nd Friday of the event, eager to see if it would be as awesome as last year. While we personally preferred last year's earlier hours, we understand why they likely changed it (was probably eating away at their dinner crowd). We found the nachos just as highly piled with gooey cheddar cheese and the small army of crawfish has returned to see that every chip got its own tasty mud bug. The Hot Wings were douced in a special sauce of Pat O'Brien's Bloody Mary Mix. Not particularly spicy, but a very unique sauce for wings. We also got the 1/2 Muffelatta Sandwich to-go (hey, we planned ahead for a midnight snack!). We were amazed when we opened the to-go container at home to see a full sandwich inside. Must have been a mistake. But, either way, an excellent sandwich with a ton of meat and garlicy olive tapenade.
Like we said last year, don't miss these great deals for some late night killer bites while at Universal Studios. It's tough to find food of this quality for this price anywhere in Orlando, let alone a theme park.

PTTP's Tip: There is a $7 cover charge after 9pm for the Piano Bar, but not for the Local's Bar or restaurant if you just want to take advantage of these deals.
2010 French Quarter Fridays Review: We finally managed to make it over to Pat's last Friday and was it ever worth it! We settled back with our $2 AmberBocks while we checked out the menu. We decided on the crawfish nachos and the shrimp po'boy sandwich thanks to the bartender's recommendation. The nachos were large, plenty enough for 2 to share. They came piled high with gooey cheddar cheese and a small army of crawfish - don't think I had a chip without one. Plenty of toppings to last down to the last chip. The shrimp po'boy was equally delicious. The fresh, soft bun, was stuffed with plenty of perfectly seasoned grilled shrimp, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The sandwich was about the size of your typical 6" sub. The best part - they both were only $5 each! Our grand total after 4 beers, nachos and a sandwich came to a whopping twenty bucks. That's a great deal anywhere and here we are at a fancy bar at a premier theme park! We'll be sure to hit this one more regularly next year.
