Promenade Bars

Universal recently opened up four Promenade Stands, each with a different feature. The one closest to Universal Studios focuses on Breakfast items (pastries, coffee drinks, etc.), there's a Fat Tuesday bar serving up the famous slushes, Shorline - a regular full-service bar and one that specializes in ice cream and other treats. These are excellent additions to the main front section of CityWalk and we've already been hanging out here quite a bit. You can even see some of the fireworks from the Fat Tuesday bar over the Universal Studios arch at night!

Fat Tuesday Promenade Bar

Apparently one can never get enough of Fat Tuesday's slushies because Universal just added another mini bar to the Promenade of CityWalk serving up these frozen treats. You'll find this newly opened bar across from the Fossil store, looking out over the lagoon. Plenty of seating options with a great view of the water and the fireworks over Universal at night make this a great spot to cool down with a cocktail.

Atmosphere
Universal has made excellent use out of the main space by the lagoon. What once housed nothing more than a grassy knoll and concrete, now sit these stands, each with a different theme of food or drink. This Fat Tuesday stand has a large variety of seating available, from sitting at the bar, to some lounge chairs overlooking the lagoon, to umbrella tables & chairs. It can be a bit hot to sit out here during the day, but once the sun sets and the neon signs turn on, the area becomes alive. Have a seat and watch the ferry boats run back and forth in the lagoon, or if you time it right, catch a decent glimpse of the fireworks over the Universal Studios arch. A nice, relaxing spot to wind down after a long day, or a spot to get the party started for those headed up to the main CityWalk clubs. Whatever your plan is, be sure to take a minute and check out this new chill spot.

Promenade Dance Party
Stick around after the sun sets, because that's when the party really gets started! They brought down the party scene from the back of CityWalk and set it up right by the lagoon in the lower level by the grassy stairs. A DJ, party lighting, dancing balloon people and more crank up the atmosphere at dusk. Watch our video below to see the party in action.
