Celebration Exotic Car Festival

Concours of Exotic Cars in Downtown Celebration
Saturday, April 13, 2013 • 10am - 4pm
FREE Event & Parking!

Celebrating 10 Years!
Another worthy event in our "Out of the Parks" series that we enjoy, so we think you will too. This exotic car festival takes place on the perfectly groomed streets in the downtown heart of Celebration. This yearly event draws in some of the most exotic, classic, and specialty cars across the country - and across town. They recently have been bringing famous cars from movies for photo ops for a fee as well. All donations this event collects go to help children's charities...so throw them a buck, it's a free event!

From their website:
"
Get up close to 250 of the world's most exotic cars and race cars all lined up for concours judging along Celebration's spectacular lakefront promenade in this premier concours event. Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Spyker, Saleen, McLaren, Pantera, Aston Martin, Lotus, DeLorean, and other ultra-exotic marquees will be joined by a select gathering of race and movie cars."

During the main public event on Saturday, the cars fill the streets for you to stroll around and fantasy shop (if this site only made a few more bucks...). The best part however, comes in the afternoon at awards time. At about 3pm (time may change) winning cars from the judging all start their engines and drive up to the podium in the middle of downtown to accept their award. Spectators line the streets just waiting for their favorite to rev it's engine (and some are ear-splitting!). Mix this car fun with some lunch at the local cafes, some shopping or a stroll by the lake and you have a perfect Florida afternoon planned.

We've been attending this event for the last 9 years and every year there seems to be a few more cars added to the collection. This is a very popular and busy event; parking is free out in the streets of Celebration so come early to find a close spot.

2011 Update: Columbia Restaurant was selling Sangria ($5), Beer ($4) and Mojitos ($7) on the street at the event. They also had their famous 1905 salad and a cuban sandwich available. However, Celebration Town Tavern still will not allow you to take a beer to go at the event. Not sure how one business can do that while another one can't (or won't), but keep the Columbia in mind as you are strolling around on this hot day next year.

Visit their website at celebrationexoticcars.com or their facebook page for more information. Visit Party Through The Parks' Flickr page for more photos from the events. (Cars subject to change)

**One thing to note, if it is raining out or storms are forcasted for most of the day, there is a very good chance that the majority of the cars will not show up.
