Disney World Seasonal Annual Pass Blockout Dates

We receive a lot of "When are the Disney Annual Pass blockout dates?" questions and rather than continuing to field them one by one we're adding a page just for you.

Here are the 2016 Disney Weekday Select Pass, Silver Pass and Gold Pass Blockout Dates

Weekday Select Pass will not work on the following dates:

  • March 21-April 1, 2016
  • April - May - all weekend days, 2016
  • June 4 - August 11, 2016
  • August - December 17 - all weekend days, 2016
  • December 19 – December 31, 2016

Silver Pass will not work on the following dates:

  • January 1, 2016
  • March 19 - April 1, 2016
  • June 6 - August 11, 2016

Gold Pass will not work on the following dates:

  • January 1, 2016
  • March 19 - April 1,  2016

Of course, Disney occassionally changes these dates. We'll do our best to stay on top of them but it may be a wise idea to double check straight from Disney World's site.

It would seem like Disney World would want the residents in Florida to attend and SPEND money and not have BLACKOUT DATES for passholders. Everytime I go to Disney we always have a drink and snack and eat a meal there with my family of 8. We live in Polk County and work for the School board and when we get out for the summer the passes are blacked out. I recently read somewhere that they are only blackout out of the Magic Kingdom? Is that true? Because I like Epcot, Hollywood studios and Animal Kingdom..and would be fantastic to be able to take the family there once a week for the summer,

Your blackout dates for January 2016 don't jive with what is on the Disney website:

It appears that Jan 1-3 are NOT included in the blackout dates.

wmc940 - Thanks for the note. You're correct according to Disney's 2016 calendar but Disney's 2015 calendar, that includes January 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of 2016, still shows those dates are blockout dates. Looks like Disney has some conflicting information. In the past Disney has often blocked out the first few days of January as well. Seeing that January 1, 2 and 3 are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it's likely those dates will be part of most school's winter break, unfortunately, that makes it pretty likely they'll block those dates out for the locals with their seasonal passes. Anyone planning on going those dates should call Disney directly. (Fingers crossed the 2016 calendar is the correct one!)

Tiyar I just chatted with someone on the disney website. The blackout dates with the seasonal passes is for all the parks not just magic kingdom. This will probably be the first and last time ill get the seasonal passes. Unless they change the blackout dates for Florida residents.
