Morocco - Tangierine Cafe

Yes, it is spelled "Tangierine" and not "Tangerine" as in the Moroccan city of Tangier. If you're into middle eastern food, this counter service restautrant probably has the best, albeit expensive, counter service food in Epcot. At the back of the counter service restaurant you'll find a coffee bar that offers some pastries and specialty coffee drinks like lattés and cappuccinos. Here's the secret, they've got some Frangelico and vanilla liqueur behind the counter! OK, maybe it's not that big a secret, it does show them right on the menu. But where else can you get a good cup of hot coffee with my favorite acoutremont?

Drinks
Tangierine Coffee - with orange liqueur - $6.99
Kasbah Coffee - with hazelnut liqueur - $6.99
Casablanca Coffee - with vanilla liqueur - $6.99
Mimosa - $6.99
Moroccan Wine - $6.99
Sangria - $6.99
Tangierine Cocktail - $7.99

Food
A delicious assortment of middle eastern dishes.

Atmosphere

Open air dining but it's usually pretty busy so I suggest wandering around.
After you've got your drink, have a seat next to their fountain, explore the often forgotten yet elaborately designed Moroccan village or wander up to the waterfront. Maybe you can catch one of Mo'Rockin's middle eastern rock shows, complete with belly dancing. For some reason, this show is always popular with dads.

Review

They are pricey, but remember you're getting a quality coffee and a top shelf liquor. If Starbucks had this on their menu it'd probably cost more than you're paying here. Also, take note, you don't have to wait in the food line, which is sometimes pretty long, to get your coffee drinks. They have their own line right at the coffee bar.

Casablanca Coffee
It's hard to go wrong with a little coffee, some flavored liqueurs, and whipped cream topped with a dusting of nutmeg. The Kasbah & Casablanca are our favorites. Neither of us are fans of orange-flavored coffee. Even the not-really-a-coffee-drinker here loves one of these on a cold night. The servers free pour these (no measurements), so the amount of liqueur varies greatly with each glass, but it's still a gamble worth taking.

Tangierine Cocktail

A wonderful combination of their 3 slush drinks (strawberry, pina colada and tangerine) topped with Bols flavored liquors, this is a new favorite frozen drink. This one was heavy on the orange flavor, but that could change depending on the ratio of slush mixes. The fact that it can vary each time is both good and bad, so as long as you like sweet, fruity frozen drinks you can't go wrong. It comes in a plastic specialty cup at no extra charge.
