World Showcase Wine Walk

The countries of France, Italy and Germany participate in a Wine Walk experience allowing you to sample different wines in each of the 3 countries. You purchase a passport in any of those countries for $20 and you will receive six 2oz. wine samples, two per country.

Germany
Valckenberg Madonna Spatlese
Valckenberg Madonna Liebfraumilch

Italy
Castello Banfi San Angelo Pinot Grigio, Tuscany IGT
Rosa Regale, Piedmont DOCG

France
Georges Duboeuf Pouilly Fuisse, Macon
Chateau Tour de Segur - Lussac St. Emilion

Present your passport and receipt at each country. You will get your passport stamped after tasting your wines. They will not substitute any of the wines for another. Don't expect any special attention, or a history lesson on the wines you're getting either. They pour and hand them over without so much as a 'this one is this' comment. If you're expecting the personal attention that the wine walks during Food & Wine offered, you will be disappointed.

Is it worth it? Well, it depends. A regular wine flight at these countries is $9.39 for your choice of 3 2oz. wines. So price and ounce wise, it's the same. With the flights you have a larger list of wines for you to choose from, Wine Walk has chosen ones for you. With the Wine Walk you get samples from 3 countries for the price of 2 flights from 2 countries.

It all comes down to options. And for me, I'd prefer having more choices of wine at only 2 countries. But to each their own. Cheers!

We asked if the new Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar will be part of the Wine Walk and were told that "for now" it will not be. How long is "for now"? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.
