ABC Commissary

Located near Sci-Fi Dine In. This is a great spot to grab some food, A/C and a cold beer.

Drinks
Bud Light - $6
Yuengling - $6.75
Wine - Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay or Merlot - $6.95

Food
A variety of entrees here including sandwiches, salads and more.

Atmosphere
This place is like an oasis in the dessert on one of those hot & humid Florida days. Cold A/C and a very large seating area make this place a great stop to cool off. There are bathrooms inside the restaurant too. You do get bombarded with ABC advertisements for their TV shows on multiple TVs throughout the area, so if you can tolerate that, you're good!

You can order from the main menu and eat at the bar. Great option for any solo travelers. View '50s Prime Time Cafe Menu by clicking here.

Atmosphere

Enjoy a fantastic Disney take on what the classic 1950's living room should have looked like as you relax with a cocktail. There's a good size bar with 12 bar stools and a living room set up with couches & coffee tables. This bar is best visited during the afternoon hours, as before dinner it gets standing room only busy with families waiting for their reservations for the restaurant. You can also take your drinks to go. There's also a nice seating area outside in front of the restaurant by the lagoon with tables & chairs.

Review

This is one of our favorite bars on Disney property to hang out for awhile. Although the bartenders don't carry on the intentionally over-the-top act that the servers do in the restaurant you'll still enjoy their friendly service and expert knowledge to make just about anything you can think of. A recommended stop on your next trip.

Order up a Grandma's Picnic Punch (left) for a satisfying mix of vodka, peach schnapps and creme de cassis (poor man's Chambord) with a little lemonade and pineapple juice. The tartness of the cassis matches well with the sweetness from the schnapps. Very delicious and an easy one to drink.

However, Dad's Electric Lemonade (right) is a simple spiked lemonade. Not bad, but not really worth the $10.50 price tag as it tasted of lemonade and not much else. While light and refreshing, pick up a N/A lemonade at a stand if you're craving lemonade. Stick with Grandma's drink - you know she wouldn't stear you wrong! (And remember, you can ask for your drinks without the glow cubes and save yourself a few bucks!)

If you're in the mood for something tropical, order up the Mowie Wowie. Your typical tropical drink is spiced up with the addition of melon liqueur and peach schnapps. An all-around great tropical drink.
