Forget Orlando, you've just been transported to the beautiful South Pacific. From the moment you step into the lush, tropical lobby you know this isn't your typical resort. An energetic pool environment, high-end restaurants and theme park perks make this an excellent choice for both a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The Royal Pacific Resort is one of 3 resorts on Universal Resort's property. This is considered the "value" resort of the three, but it's hard to understand why, this place looks just as high dollar as the others!
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are just a short trip from your room, either take the boat from your resort, or take a short walk along the riverside path. But the best perk to staying at one of these 3 resorts for your Universal vacation is the 'front of line' pass you receive for select rides at the theme parks.

Emeril's Tchoup Chop
This resort is home to the second Emeril's restaurant on Universal property: Emeril's Tchoup Chop. We've dined here a few times and it's easily one of the best restaurants in Orlando. They are open for lunch and dinner. You'll find some mean Tiki Drinks here as well. Look here for the menu.
Islands Dining Room
The other full-service restaurant is Islands Dining Room, serving breakfast, lunch & dinner with a Pacific Rim inspired menu along with more traditional options. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, plus nighttime entertainment.
Have a taste for something more exotic? Why not experience their Wantilan Luau Polynesian dinner show performed Saturdays, and select Tuesdays. Knife twirlers, fire dancers and hula dancers - enough said. This is on our list of must-do's in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for a future review. (Universal AP holders get a good discount on this.)
Overall: A beautiful resort worth a stop to explore. We'll be back for Jake's happy hour- it's nice to waste away a couple hot afternoon hours before hitting the park, and lounging at the pool bar. I don't see us chillin in the lobby lounge though, it's kinda awkward unless you're waiting for your cab to arrive.
